Unbound Disability Claims, the 2024 2nd place finisher of the UCF College of Business JOUST New Venture Competition, was named a Collegiate Winner at the 16th annual Florida Early Stage Venture Conference on June 5.

The award was accepted by Unbound Disability Claims Co-Founder Alyssa Wilbanks. Unbound Disability Claims is a Turbo Tax-like platform that streamlines Social Security Disability claims. The company provides a lifeline to the 62 percent of applicants facing improper denials.

“Unbound Disability Claims is thankful for the continued opportunities to grow our business, provided by UCF,” said Wilbanks. “We were so proud to present our company to the investors and judges and hope this continued success allows us to help as many underserved disabled Americans as possible.”

Unbound Disability Claims received $5,000 each from Florida Power & Light and Space Florida.
