The world, as a whole, is typically better off if every country specializes in what they are efficient at producing. While most economists and policymakers would agree, governments continue to follow trade policies that favor the domestic production of goods and services that could be purchased at a lower cost from abroad.
Uluc Aysun, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Economics at UCF College of Business, will discuss why countries should specialize in producing goods to increase efficiency and explain the costs and benefits of current U.S. trade policies.
The Dean’s Speaker Series is now at a new downtown Orlando location, the UCF Executive Development Center at 36 W. Pine St. Seating is limited, so please RSVP today!
Refreshments and parking are included with registration.
We look forward to seeing you there!
