Biography

Scott Dillon joined UCF after retiring from a 31-year active-duty career in the U.S. Navy. He served at all levels in the Navy, beginning as an operational aviator assigned to a P-3 patrol aircraft squadron and eventually concluding his career as a Rear Admiral leading the Naval Air Warfare Center located in China Lake, CA. In this capstone assignment, he oversaw research, development, acquisition, test and evaluation, and fleet logistic support activities for the Navy’s largest test range and for the collocated research and development facilities. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School.

Since retiring from the Navy, he has taught at UCF as an adjunct instructor for Statistical Methods, Data Driven Decision Making, and Modeling and Simulation courses. Prior to joining the College of Business, he also served as a faculty administrator at UCF’s Institute for Simulation and Training.
