Sara López Gómez, Ph.D., teaches Business Climate Analysis with the Integrated Business Program.
Originally from Colombia, Dr. López Gómez first gained experience as part of the top management team of two continuing education institutions largely working with underserved communities. While obtaining her MBA, she was invited to be part of a worldwide project aimed at understanding the entrepreneurial activity of the 90+ participant countries (GEM Project). Those experiences contributed to her understanding of the value and impact education has on improving lives and inspiring entrepreneurs while following their dreams.
Being raised in a family of business owners, she was motivated to undertake her doctoral studies on family business and innovation, a topic closely related to entrepreneurship
Since joining academia, she has taught and presented her work to a wide variety of audiences, including undergraduate and graduate students, continuing education program participants, business owners and community members. She enjoys interacting in multicultural contexts.
