Overview

Dr. Nihat Ahmed is an educator and marketing professional with over a decade of experience in the industry. His expertise includes marketing, sales, business management, entrepreneurship, and leadership. His teaching philosophy bridges theoretical frameworks with real-world applications, enabling students to gain practical insights into today’s evolving business landscape. Dr. Ahmed has taught a wide range of courses in marketing, sales, management, and data-driven and AI-driven strategies across multiple academic institutions.

Bridging theory with practice, Dr. Nihat Ahmed helps students see how every area of business connects (Integrated Business), equipping them with the strategic, analytical, and adaptable mindset that defines modern professionals.

Academic Experience

Dr. Ahmed currently serves as a full-time faculty member in the Integrated Business (IB) Department at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he teaches Integrated Marketing & Sales, Integrated Management, and Data-Driven Decision Making. He also teaches the Healthcare Marketing course under the Department of Marketing. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Ahmed is the lead faculty for IB Digital Squad and also helps students excel through the IB mentorship program.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Ahmed taught at Florida Atlantic University, Nova Southeastern University, and Miami Dade College. He also served as an industry expert instructor at Cornell University’s eCornell, where he facilitated executive education courses in marketing, management, and artificial intelligence. As part of Cornell University, eCornell provided a global platform that allowed Dr. Ahmed to engage with professionals from diverse industries and backgrounds.

As an educator, Dr. Ahmed emphasizes the importance of mastery and application, ensuring that students not only understand theoretical concepts but can also implement them to solve real-world business challenges. Beyond teaching, he has organized and led marketing and AI symposiums, contributing to thought leadership at the intersection of academia and industry. He has also served on the Executive Advisory Board for the Department of Marketing at Florida Atlantic University.

Dr. Ahmed is the Founder of Florida Marketing Group, a firm dedicated to developing customized marketing strategies for healthcare professionals, private practices, and small clinics throughout Florida.

Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, he has held leadership positions across various healthcare-related organizations, including roles in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, and clinical services. His previous positions include Chief Technology & Growth Officer at Century Health, Vice President of Marketing at Drew Scientific, Head of Marketing at Lab@Home, Director of Marketing at Dr. Miami Beach, and Marketing Director at Rx Weight Loss.

Dr. Ahmed’s career has been rooted in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical technology sectors, with a strong focus on branding, digital marketing, market research, and data-driven decision-making. His professional achievements have been recognized by America’s Top 100 Magazine, where he was featured for his contributions to marketing and healthcare innovation.

Education

Dr. Ahmed holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in Information Technology and Operational Management from Florida Atlantic University. His academic background also includes a Master’s in Marketing and a Bachelor’s in International Business from Florida International University, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA and received the Worlds Ahead Award, the university’s highest presidential distinction. In addition, he has earned certificates from Harvard Medical School and Cornell University.

His doctoral research achieved international recognition, earning him the honor of representing the United States at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, alongside scholars from 27 countries.

Personal Background

Dr. Ahmed was born on a military base in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and raised in a military family that provided him the opportunity to live in 11 countries and visit over 30. This global upbringing has shaped his multicultural perspective, adaptability, and appreciation for diversity. He is fluent in five languages, which further enhances his ability to connect with students and professionals worldwide.

Outside of academia, Dr. Ahmed has a passion for traveling, cars, and motorcycles, often finding inspiration and reflection through long drives and rides. His diverse life experiences and global exposure continue to inform his teaching, leadership, and approach to business education.
