Biography

Jeff Stokes is the Senior Director Market Leader for BNY Mellon Wealth Management where he was tapped to open a newly formed office in Winter Park, Florida. He is responsible for growing the market and leading a team of wealth management professionals serving high net worth families in Florida. Areas of practice include banking and lending, investment management, fiduciary, philanthropic as well as family education and governance services. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Private Client Advisor at U.S. Trust and Northern Trust as Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Strategist. Prior to that he spent 15 years with SunTrust Bank and helped build the firm’s affiliate, GenSpring Family Offices, in both Orlando and Atlanta. He also worked at Barnett Bank in Florida early in his career.

Jeff has been a successful wealth advisor and active in the Atlanta market for 14 years. He serves on the UCF College of Business Dean’s Advisory Board. He’s currently a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council and the Georgia Planned Giving Council. Jeff also served on the annual campaign committee for the Woodruff Arts Center Annual Fund and as an advisory board member of Blessed Trinity Catholic High School.

Jeff graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in finance. Jeff attended Wharton’s Accelerating Growth Program, Northwestern University’s National Trust School and the Cannon Financial Institute’s Personal Trust School and holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses.
