Biography
Dr. Jeff Gish earned his Ph.D. in Management from the University of Oregon’s Lundquist College of Business before joining the Department of Management faculty at UCF as an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship. His research is at the intersection of entrepreneurship and organizational behavior, including topics such as entrepreneurial well-being, an entrepreneur’s personal psychological resources and the depletion/recovery of those resources, individual-level crowdfunding performance, the development of culture in new and established organizations, and social movement influences on startup activity. Prior to his academic role, Gish founded multiple businesses with successful exits, and is currently an investor and advisor in several startups.
His research publications have appeared in leading academic journals, such as the Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Management and Personnel Psychology, and been featured by Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, Fast Company, Thrive Global, and several other popular press outlets. Jeff is an associate editor for Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and serves on the editorial review board for Journal of Business Venturing. He was born in Alaska and currently lives in Florida with his wife and three children.
