Biography

Eric Litton, Ph.D., is a Lecturer in the Integrated Business department at UCF College of Business. Prior to joining the University of Central Florida, he taught at numerous other institutions, including Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland, and the University of West Indies in Jamaica. He has taught courses ranging from management to finance to economics.

Before becoming a teacher, Dr. Litton mostly worked in administrative management for international development organizations. He has worked abroad in five different countries in a variety of leadership roles.

Dr. Litton’s research focuses on how organizations can operate more efficiently. In particular, he has an interest in how different social elements involved in organizations influence how those organization budget and allocate funds.

His education background includes:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Cornell University.
  • Master of Business Administration with concentrations in international business and entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame.
  • Doctorate of Philosophy in Organizational Development from George Mason University.

Prior experience before becoming a faculty member includes:

  • Chief Administrative Officer for the Office of Global Health and HIV at the Peace Corps.
  • Country Finance Manager for an international nonprofit in Pakistan.
  • Head of Office and Senior Business Advisor for a local nonprofit in Angola.
