Biography
Eric J. Soskin is a senior government advisor and legal expert currently serving as Senior Advisor to the Governor of Florida, where he leads statewide efforts to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and modernize public sector operations. In this role, he heads Florida’s “DOGE”-style initiative, driving accountability across state agencies, local governments, and public institutions.
Previously, Soskin served as the Senate-confirmed Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Transportation, overseeing audits, investigations, and law enforcement activities across a $100B+ portfolio of national infrastructure programs. His leadership identified billions in savings and strengthened fraud prevention and operational performance.
Earlier in his career, Soskin spent over a decade at the U.S. Department of Justice as a senior trial attorney, specializing in constitutional and administrative law and representing the federal government in high-stakes litigation. A graduate of Williams College and Harvard Law School, he brings deep expertise at the intersection of law, policy, and institutional performance.
