Biography
Dan O’Keefe is the Shareholder-in-Charge of the Firm’s Central Florida office, and serves on the board of directors. Within his 35 years’ experience in public accounting, which includes governmental and not-for-profit support, he has extensive experience auditing the financial operations of governmental and not-for-profit agencies, serving numerous municipalities, counties, state agencies, special districts, and authorities.
Nationally recognized for his thought leadership in the area of governmental accounting and auditing, he is one of the most sought-after public sector instructors in Florida. Dan provides continuing professional education (CPE) services to clients, peers and governmental agencies nationwide. He has authored numerous CPE courses on governmental accounting and auditing and taught CPE courses sponsored by the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs. Dan has previously served a four-year term on the Florida Board of Accountancy CPE Committee. He also consults in the areas of internal control assessments, litigation support, fraud remediation and performance reviews.
