Biography
Codrina Cozma is a doctoral student in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting at the University of Central Florida. After a successful career as a multilingual translator and English professor, Codrina earned a BBA and a Master’s in accounting from Valdosta State University and worked in public accounting in a variety of areas, from individual and corporate taxes to payroll and financial statements. Codrina holds an active CPA license in the state of Florida, has published and presented a research article on the effects of governmental reporting regulation, and has been teaching accounting since 2020. Her research interests cover a variety of niche accounting topics, from taxation to AI accounting applications and the impact of regulations and diplomatic relations on accounting practices. Her current research projects involve a mixed-methods approach, interdisciplinarity, and an international perspective.
