Biography
During his 25-plus year career in the sports and entertainment industry, Chris has achieved great success on the team side and as a consultant holding leadership roles in the National Football League, Major League Soccer, National Women’s Soccer League, Major League Baseball and National Hockey League.
An expert in the revenue-generating areas of ticket sales, marketing, corporate partnerships, naming rights, premium seating, concessions, merchandise and business intelligence, his forward-thinking mindset has delivered exceptional results for all of the organizations he has represented.
As a member of Orlando City SC, Chris was the architect for a record-breaking inaugural season, where the club set a league attendance record for an expansion team, drawing an average of 32,847 per home match, including 62,500 in the home opener the third highest inaugural season home opener in MLS history. His efforts were rewarded as he was recognized as the 2015 MLS Ticket Sales Executive of the Year. Soon after, in 2017, Orlando City SC would open their new soccer-specific stadium in downtown Orlando. Chris successfully sold the naming rights to Exploria Resorts, for which the stadium is now known as Exploria Stadium. With the opening of the new stadium, Orlan do City SC partnered with Ticketmaster to launch their new digital ticketing platform, Presence. Exploria Stadium was the first stadium to launch the technology, which has become the gold standard across venues in professional sports. The Sports Business Journal named Chris as a Ticketing Industry Power Player in 2018 for his efforts.
In 2019, Chris joined Nashville SC ahead of their launch into Major League Soccer. The club immediately made a major impact on the soccer landscape by hosting 59,069 fans for their inaugural match, a new Tennessee state record and the 4th highest inaugural season home opener in MLS history. In May 2022, the club opened their state-of-the-art, soccer-specific stadium. At 30,000 seat capacity, it is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and Canada. Through Chris’ leadership, the club surpassed 23,000 season tickets sold and set revenue records for premium seating leading to his selection as a 2022 Venues Now All Star.
Chris is a graduate of Florida State University, and he and his family reside in Windermere, where he coaches Little League.
