Biography

Capt. Hill recently retired from active duty after nearly 34 yrs of service. He is now the Director of Central Florida Operations, Intuitive Research and Technology Corp. While on active duty, his first 20 years were spent flying aircraft carrier-based jets operationally as a Naval Flight Officer, with operational deployments in both the S-3B Viking and the F/A-18F Super Hornet. He deployed on multiple occasions to Europe, the Middle East, and Afghanistan; served as a flight test project officer and instructor; and held a staff officer position at US Special Operations Command. His operational flying duty culminated in operational command of a strike-fighter squadron deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.

In the latter part of his Navy career, CAPT Hill brought his operational experience to bear as a program manager in weapon systems acquisition, working with high profile programs such as the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile and culminating as Commanding Officer of the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division and Naval Support Activity Orlando, an organization with over 3,000 personnel world-wide and a business base of nearly $2B annually. He has transitioned to private industry as a business strategist supporting the full spectrum of defense programs and several commercial offerings, leading INTUITIVE’s Central Florida presence.

He holds a BS in Weapons Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a MS in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a MS in International Relations (National Security concentration) from Troy University. He is a graduate of the US Naval Test Pilot School and the US Air Force Air Command and Staff College, and he is a certified defense acquisition professional.
