Biography

Barry Miller ’95 is a co-founder, board member and President of Voloridge Investment Management, a $9 billion hedge fund firm in Jupiter, Fla. He is responsible for overseeing all operational areas of the firm and strategic planning. Prior to Voloridge, he served as CEO of LASAS Technologies, a finance and insurance company he co-founded in 1998. This company controlled about 10 percent of all U.S. sales within its applicable market and in 2009 was sold to Golden Gate Capital, a $12 billion private equity group. His background includes financial analysis, capital raising, financial markets, actuarial experience, software development, as well as in-depth company infrastructure formation. He graduated with honors from UCF with a bachelor’s in finance. He remains involved with his alma mater speaking to business students in The EXCHANGE and through participation on different committees and workgroups. Beyond UCF, Miller is actively involved in community outreach directly and through his company’s philanthropic pursuits.
