Biography
Accounting Instructor Adam Spoolstra, Florida CPA, joined the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting in Fall 2022 as an adjunct and full time in Fall 2024. Post graduation, Adam spent five years in tax at Ernst & Young in Kansas City. Adam brings 17 years of teaching experience to his full-time role at UCF (some overlapping with his time at Ernst & Young on an adjunct basis and nine years full-time). Adam teaches Intermediate I and II, encouraging students to move beyond the “how” to ensure they understand the “why” of what they are learning.
Adam attended Northern Illinois University (go Huskies!) for both a master’s in accounting (tax emphasis) and bachelor’s in accounting. He is working on a doctoral degree (DBA) at Anderson University and expcects to defend his dissertation in 2025. Outside the classroom, Adam can likely be found at a baseball or softball field supporting one of his four children compete in something they love.
