At the head of the DeVos Sport Business Management Program, you’ll find Adrien Bouchet. The new Knight is in his second year with UCF and brings 15 years of professional sport industry experience to all the students who are in the program pursuing a Master’s, MBA, or minor in sport business management.

How long have you been a Knight? Two years.  

What is your area of research at UCF? Geopolitical issues in sport and university relationships with athletics 

What awards or honors are you most proud of? Fulbright Fellow (Portugal), Research Fellow – North American Society for Sport Management, Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics grant, Mayo Research award  

Faculty Spotlight: Adrien Bouchet

What do you love about what you do? The DeVos students and my colleagues at the business school are great.  

What do you find most exciting and rewarding about your field of study? I’m able to combine 15 years of professional sport industry experience working in the NFL, Major League Baseball, and an international sport marketing company with academic training to present students with a course that prepares them to work in this field.  

When you’re not in the classroom, what can we find you doing? My wife and I travel the world visiting sports properties and venues. 

What is your favorite UCF memory? Graduation day is always special.  

What is something most people don’t know about you? My first job after college was teaching boxing and close-quarters combat at the United States Military Academy at West Point. 

What is your best advice for Business Knights? It’s good to be ambitious but be careful because it can get you into trouble.
