Risk is everywhere — from cyberattacks and natural disasters to healthcare decisions and business operations. The Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) at UCF prepares students to understand, analyze and manage risk in an increasingly complex world. Through a blend of business, analytical and industry-focused coursework, students develop the knowledge and skills needed to help individuals, organizations and communities make better decisions in the face of uncertainty.

The RMI major offered through the Department of Finance has a curriculum that combines a strong business foundation with specialized study in risk management, insurance, employee benefits, financial security and emerging industry trends. Students graduate prepared for a wide range of career opportunities while gaining exposure to the technologies, data, and innovations that are shaping the future of the profession.

Admission to UCF does not equate to admission to the Barry S. Miller College of Business. This applies regardless of the specific business major a student intends to pursue. These requirements can be found within the UCF Catalog.
