UCF’s Professional Master of Science in Management (MSM), Entrepreneurship Track is a 20-month program mirroring the phases of startup processes – discovery, planning and implementation. The program is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, innovative professionals and other change makers interested in realizing their visions for new ventures and innovative projects. The program’s design emphasizes essential startup processes, experiential learning and personalized coaching that supports students’ efforts to develop their own startup proposals while earning a valuable graduate business degree.

Program Overview

The Professional MSM Entrepreneurship Track program builds entrepreneurial mindsets and skillsets that empower innovators and change-makers in startup, corporate, non-profit and government settings. It also connects students to successful entrepreneurs and startup resources in Orlando’s vibrant, top-20 ranked entrepreneurship community. Graduates will be well-positioned to introduce innovations to society by understanding problems, creating solutions, designing business models, engaging supporters, accumulating resources and implementing new ventures.

Program Schedule and Mixed Mode

Conveniently located at the UCF Downtown campus, the PMSM Entrepreneurship Track program is a 20-month program with a 30 credit hour/10 course curriculum with classes on Tuesday evenings, 6-9:50 p.m., and Saturday morning, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Executive Development Center’s state-of-the-art downtown facility.

For a select number of class meetings, faculty may choose to conduct the class through a digital platform. This reduced classroom time offers students flexibility in their work and personal schedules while completing the program.

Orlando is a highly-ranked entrepreneurship city and this program takes full advantage of its location in the heart of the region’s downtown startup community. The program will connect students to each other through peer-to-peer learning activities and to entrepreneurship leaders and advocates through class visits, networking events and demo day showcases. Student will also have access to best-in-class startup coaching and resources offered by UCF’s Blackstone Launchpad powered by Techstars.

Cohort Format

The program will be a limited class size and cohort format with students starting and ending the program together. The cohort format provides a culture of networking, collaboration and teamwork.

Who Should Apply

The minimum requirement for this program is a bachelor’s degree with a 3.0 GPA from an accredited institution. Candidates for this program include:
-Entrepreneurs working on developing and launching their own startup venture.
-Employees working in corporate settings who want to contribute to business development and innovative projects.
-Leaders of new and growing public and non-profit initiatives.
-Advisors interested in a career in startup/small business consulting.

Investment

The UCF PMSM is a market-rate program with an investment of $30,000 which includes 30 credit hours, laptop computer, course software (if required), use of Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab and UCF Library proprietary research resources, access to expert startup coaching at UCF’s Blackstone Launchpad powered by Techstars, startup showcases and networking events provided by UCF’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, parking downtown, orientation and graduation events, EDC networking events and lifetime UCF Alumni membership.
