Bio: Hello! My name is Jake Shoen, a member of the DeVos MSBM & MBA Class of 2026. I am a 2021 Cum Laude graduate of Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration. I am a Phoenix, Arizona native, having lived there both before and after my time as an undergrad. During my time at Pepperdine, I was a manager for the Men’s Basketball team as well as a remote intern for Elfus Sports Managment. Post-graduation, I returned home where I worked both in and out of sports. In sports, I had the oportunity to assist a basketball skills trainer with clients ranging from the high-school level to NBA professionals. Additionally, I worked as a Game and Event Ops Associate for the 2022 Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, (former) Guarunteed Rate Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl Parade. After that I worked for a year as a Customer Service Representative at a U-Haul Moving and Storage location. Currently, I am a Graduate Assistant for UCF Men’s Basketball, where I assist coaches and operations staff with player/team development and team operations. I plan to parlay this experince into a career in the NBA, with a focus on team and player operations/administration.
