Bio: I’m Andres Carreño, a passionate professional in sports, sales, marketing, and event operations, originally from Bogotá, Colombia. I hold dual degrees in Economics and Government & Public Affairs from Universidad de Los Andes. Sports have always been an integral part of my life—I was a student-athlete, playing basketball both for my university team and my city. Since 2020, I’ve also earned my certification as a FIBA Basketball Coach. While coaching remains a personal passion, my professional journey has primarily focused on sales and marketing. My career began with Procter & Gamble, where I developed a strong foundation in sales, sparking my interest in marketing. This led to the creation of Latam Sports in 2023, a company dedicated to organizing events that help young athletes develop their skills, connect with international coaches, and pursue U.S. sports scholarships. In addition, we act as a sports agency to help student-athletes navigate their path to success. In pursuit of further professional growth, I am currently enrolled in a dual Master’s program, pursuing an MBA and a Master’s in Sports Business Management. This experience has provided me with deeper insights into donor relations and the operations of premium spaces at sports venues through my role as Graduate Assistant for Charge On Fund. I am committed to leveraging my experiences to continue fostering talent, creating impactful sports events, and expanding the intersection of sports, business, and marketing.
