Jamie Griffiths Craighead
Jamie Craighead is an Instructor for Data Driven Decision Making in the Integrated Business Program at the University of Central Florida. She also teaches Marketing Analysis in the Marketing Department. She is a former Instructor and Doctoral Candidate in the Information Systems and Decision Sciences Department (ISDS) in the College of Business at the University of South Florida. Her research interests include geographic information science (GIScience) and business analytics. Her research has been published in Decision Support Systems, the British Food Journal, National Security, and Intelligence and Security Informatics. She has presented research at national and international conferences as well as workshops and invited presentations.
Craighead has attended several highly competitive faculty and doctoral workshops both domestically and abroad. She holds an M.A. in Business Economics, a B.S. in Business Administration (Business Economics) and a B.A. in Government and International Affairs (International Studies) from the University of South Florida. In addition, she holds a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the University of South Florida.
She has been employed in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), as a GIS specialist a planning and technology department within a large city government, as a research associate at a regional enterprise institute in the United Kingdom, as an English instructor in the People’s Republic of China, as a university research and teaching associate, in a robotics lab, and as a research associate at the U.S. Veterans Administration. She also has experience in a corporate environment working in marketing analytics and marketing research.
Craighead grew up in Europe and Florida. She enjoys athletics, the outdoors, theme parks, museums, visiting cultural heritage sites and reading in her hammock. She is married with two sons. She volunteers with education and youth organizations. She enjoys financial and technology consulting in a Florida-based RFID solutions company. She also is interested in mentoring students related to technology, marketing, international business, analytics and entrepreneurship.
