Biography

Glen Dawes is the Associate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Advancement at the UCF Foundation, Inc.

Dawes is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 30 years of experience. He has held senior finance and accounting positions with Fortune 500 companies, publicly traded corporations and non-profit organizations, including Kaiser Permanente, Memorial Hermann Health Plan, Washington Mutual, Tech Data and Office Depot.

At Kaiser Permanente Southern California Region, Dawes led the development of the Financial Leadership Institute (FLI). The FLI program was focused on developing the future finance leaders for the southern California region and quickly became the nationwide finance development platform for Kaiser Permanente, developing and training over 1,000 professionals each year.

Throughout his career, Dawes has been successful in helping organizations build robust finance and accounting divisions by focusing on talent development and operational effectiveness, which resulted in high quality, customer-focused operations.

Dawes received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. He also completed the Harvard Business School Executive Leadership program focused on leadership, talent development and strategy. In addition to his career accomplishments, he has served on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Business, at the University of Central Florida and previously served on the Board of Directors for San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity in Pasadena, California.

Dawes and his wife, Theresa, reside in Orlando and have three children, two of whom are UCF alumni.
